Dead End Express

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Dead End Express app ("the app", "we", "us") uses and why. The app is published by Nivaash (nivaash.nl), based in the Netherlands. In short: there are no accounts and we run no servers. Your game lives on your device. Our advertising partner, Google, collects some information to show the optional reward videos, as described below.

1. Information stored on your device

The app saves your game on your device: levels cleared, stars, moves, hearts, Coal, Rewinds and Signals, levels you left part-way, how many reward videos you watched today (for the daily limits), whether you have an Express Pass, and your settings (music, sound, haptics, hints, text size, language). This data stays on the device. We do not receive it. Deleting the app deletes it, and you can also clear it any time with Settings → Reset progress.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details. We don't run our own analytics or crash reporting. We have no servers that store data about you.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows no banner ads and no ads during play. It offers optional reward videos from Google AdMob, which you can choose to watch for a heart, a Rewind, a Signal or extra Coal. Express Pass subscribers see no ads; they get the same rewards without watching. To show and measure these ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

Your choices:

We ask Google to show only ads rated suitable for a general audience (rated PG or lower). The app doesn't ask for your age. For how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Purchases

Coal packs and the Express Pass subscription are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details. To confirm and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives the store's purchase receipt and a random app user ID that is not linked to your name or email. You can restore an Express Pass on a new device with Settings → Restore purchases. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

5. Children

Dead End Express is a game for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll help remove it.

6. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, personalised ads and the use of the advertising identifier are based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Non-personalised ads, fraud prevention and purchase processing are based on our legitimate interest in offering a free game, and on the contract when you make a purchase.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or limit how it is used. As we hold no personal data about you, most requests are best directed to Google (for ads) or Apple/Google (for purchases). We will gladly help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

8. Data retention and security

Game data stays on your device until you reset it or delete the app. Data collected by Google and RevenueCat is kept under their own policies.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the changes are important, we will mention them in the app.
